Who Are We?
Sections operating at the group
1st Cheddington Scout Group runs a Beaver colony, a Cub pack and a Scout troop. We also have an Explorer Unit which meets at our headquarters in Cheddington. Although the Explorer Unit is officially attached to our Scout District rather than the Scout Group, the Unit is closely partnered with 1st Cheddington and operates very closely with the Group. After completing the sections at Cheddington, our members are encouraged to continue their involvement with Scouting either by joining the Scout Network or becoming an adult leader.
Who runs the group and the sections?
We have an enthusiastic and dedicated team of adult leaders who organise and run the weekly meetings of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. They also organise such things as activities, sleepovers and camps. The overall running of the group is overseen by the Group Scout Leader (GSL). The sections are managed by the section leaders aided by assistant leaders and section helpers. We are also assisted at our meetings and activities by parents as required.
