Over the hill
The Treasure Hunt this Monday night was another challenge to the groups navigation skills. However, in contrast to the hike at Easter, both teams did eventually find the clues. The leaders enjoyed the evnt as we were able to stand on the top of the hill enjoying the most spendid views and sunset with Iain pointing out various stars and planets as the skies darkened. Up on Windy Ridge
On Saturday I checked out the route we will be walking on 14 Dec for the Night Hike. I think it will be quite interesting in the dark, particularly in the woods. On Saturday, it wasn't raining but it was cold and very windy especially on the exposed ridges. I was wearing a ski base layer, 2 fleeces, a water/wind proof, hat and gloves and I was still cold!! Anyway, I'm looking forward to the hike - we need all the practise we can get to be ready for the planned 30k hike in February. Best bit wil...

Bedford or bust?
The Immam of the mosque at Bedford has invited us to visit on Monday 16 November. The idea is that he would show us round and explain what happens as well as answer all our questions. Everyone would have to dress appropriately, remove their shoes and females have to cover their heads with a scarf.We would probably combine this with a stop off for food on the way back.Let me know if you are interested. If not, let me know what you would like to do and I can try to arrange it....
